I would leave the bottom pin, I couldn't find the one I saw a year ago but this is similar.

I see what you meant.
I didn't want the red button because the original caps didn't have red until they re-introduced this cap not that long ago. Spyboy would know for sure.
This one is accurate.....

It took me a while to find some photos to verify it and now I can't remember where they are.
However, this cap I got is some sort of souvenir cap. It's a wool blend and has 1961 embroidered on the back but it's fitted and very well made. I don't buy snapbacks for my MLB collection. And...... it only cost me about $11.  ;D

Shortly after New Era got the contract as exclusive MLB supplier, sometime around 1994 or 95.

Where do you guys recommend purchasing throwback/vintage caps that match M&N flannels? i.e. 1907 Tigers, 1920s Phillies, etc.

I'm specifically looking to try and put together a uniform from one season for a team. This entails the jersey, cap, pants, etc. I've seen several sites like Stall & Dean, Pro League Authentics, and Dugout Memories, but have never bought from them. Any advice you guys could give would be great. Thanks.  :D

Do your best to find hats from Cooperstown Ball Cap Co.

They are closed now , unfortunately, but their hats still pop up on eBay all the time. Also I believe they are now the Ideal Cap Co. And will make the same hats (with leather headband !!) But not sure if they can put logo on cap anymore.

It sure is!!
I went nuts for a minute and offered this guy $100 for this cap.

Wisely he declined my offer. Mostly I wanted it because it's as authentic as they come but I'm not sure it would have fit comfortably anyway.
The Roman is as good a quality I'm sure.

Guy was selling these with the description they had been in a hot storage unit for years and the bills were all rotten out (brittle). They looked ok to me and figured they would at least fill some holes in the collection. Turns out only one had a bill problem, the A's one and even that's not noticeable. The one I wanted was the California Angels cap and it's in perfect condition.
They're all Roman Pro leather sweatband caps except the Astros, which is a Roman Pro nylon that was actually the on field cap in 75 - 79.

Thanks. I see the same California Angels cap right now on ebay for $75. That is a rare one.
